Why AMD EPYC 7C13?

AMD EPYC 7C13 with 256 MB L3 cache is genuinely the best chip for chunk-heavy workloads like Minecraft, Rust, and ARK. Always in stock, lower price per GB, and outperforms higher-clocked Ryzens on cache-bound workloads.

How the calculator works

The calculator pulls real plan data from each game's pricing page — including stock status. If your ideal CPU tier (say Ryzen 7 5800X) is temporarily out of stock, the recommendation automatically jumps to the next best in-stock option (typically Ryzen 9 5950X or EPYC 7C13) and shows you why.

RAM recommendations are snapped to real plan sizes — you'll never see 7 GB or 23 GB suggested. The ladder for each game matches what's actually orderable at checkout.

Pricing is INR per month, matching the actual plans on each game's pricing page exactly. Click the deploy button to jump straight to the matching plan card.

Frequently asked questions

How much RAM do I need for a Minecraft server?

Vanilla: 2 GB up to 5 players, 4 GB for 10-15, 6-8 GB for 25-30, 16 GB for 50-80 players. Modded servers need 1.5-2x more RAM. BungeeCord/Velocity networks add another ~40% for proxy + shard overhead.

How much RAM does a Rust server need?

Vanilla: 8 GB for 50 slots, 12 GB for 100. Modded (Oxide, Raidable Bases, Magic Loot): 16 GB for 100, 24+ GB for 200. Rust scales with entity count — large bases eat memory regardless of slots filled.

How much RAM does an ARK server need?

ARK is RAM-hungry. 20-slot vanilla: 8 GB. 50-slot PvE: 16 GB. Modded clusters (S+, Primal Fear, Dino Overhaul X): 24-32 GB at 50-70 slots. Dinos count more than players.

Why does the calculator only show some CPUs?

We only recommend in-stock plans. If your ideal CPU tier (e.g. Ryzen 7 5800X) is temporarily out of stock, the calculator automatically suggests the next best in-stock option (typically Ryzen 9 5950X or EPYC 7C13) and explains the swap. You're never sent to a plan you can't actually buy today.

Why is EPYC recommended more than Ryzen 9?

EPYC 7C13's 256 MB L3 cache outperforms higher-clocked Ryzens on cache-bound workloads — chunk loading, entity caching, vanilla maps. Premium Ryzen 9 5950X is worth the upgrade only when the workload is single-thread bound: heavy Forge/Fabric modpacks, FiveM at scale, horde nights. For most servers, EPYC is genuinely the better chip — and cheaper.

What DDoS protection do GBNodes plans include?

Three layers on every plan. (1) Cloudflare Magic Transit upstream — 260 Tbps capacity, and GBNodes is the only Indian game-server host with MT. (2) GBSHIELD — our ASN-level mitigation (AS135682) that keeps your server online during attacks instead of blackholing the IP like competitors. (3) Anti-DDoS proxy for additional Layer 7 game-protocol filtering. Combined, this stack has kept every customer online through every booter attack logged in the past 12 months.

Is this calculator accurate?

It's a starting point based on real GBNodes data across 6,500+ servers. Real RAM use depends on mod load, world size, view distance, and active plugins. Upgrade in the panel any time — no rebuild required.
